AWARD 2018

WE ARE GLAD TO ANOUNCE THAT THE SECOND EDITION OF THE MARIBOR PHOTOBOOK AWARD WILL TAKE PLACE IN MARIBOR IN MARCH 2018. APPLY NOW!

READY FOR THE SECOND EDITION

We would kindly like to invite you to the second edition of the Maribor photobook award. The award will be accompanied by an exhibition of selected  photobooks from the call and will coincide with the exhibition Through her eyes.

The theme of the photo book award is Picturing life: the new world order and the artist’s position in it.

Today the world faces challenges which will without a doubt shape the future of our society. We live in turbulent times with big events happening all around us constantly. But how do these events shape the minds and stories of photographers? We are looking for photobooks with stories that are broadly related to the topic. They can be very personal stories which only reflect the inner state of the artist or stories related to factual events happening in the society. Show us the Zeitgeist of the decade. Eligible are books published after the 1st of January 2010.

The winner will be awarded with a 4000 EUR prize money – no strings attached.

To apply please fill out one application form per book entered. The application has to be submitted together with the book . The final date to receive the books is the  31st of January  2018 (postmark).
